Information we collect

We may collect the following:

• Information you give us: your name and email address when you subscribe to the newsletter, opt in for a free resource, join a waitlist, submit the contact form, or send a consulting inquiry, along with anything you include in your message. Consulting inquiries also require a phone number, since consulting engagements typically start with a call, and you may optionally share an Instagram handle as another way to reach you.
• Usage & analytics data: basic, mostly aggregated information about how the site is used (such as pages visited, device and browser type, and referring source), collected through cookies or similar technologies.
• Payment information (future): if and when we offer paid products, purchases will be handled by a secure third-party payment processor (such as Stripe). We do not collect or store your full card details on our servers.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Deliver the free resources, briefs, and downloads you request.
• Send The Scouting Report and related email updates you've opted into.
• Respond to contact and consulting inquiries.
• Operate, maintain, and improve the website and what we offer.
• Process purchases and provide support if you buy something in the future.
• Meet legal, security, and fraud-prevention obligations.

Email & newsletter communication

When you subscribe, you'll receive The Scouting Report and occasional related emails. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. We use a third-party email platform to manage subscriptions and send messages.

Free resource delivery

When you request a free resource, we use your email to send it and to confirm your subscription. Requesting a free resource also subscribes you to The Scouting Report; you can unsubscribe whenever you like without losing access to what you've already downloaded.

Consulting & contact inquiries

If you reach out through the contact or consulting forms, we use your information to respond and to discuss whether we're a fit to work together. Submitting an inquiry doesn't obligate you to anything, and it doesn't create a client relationship on its own.

Analytics & cookies

We may use cookies and similar technologies to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Any such data is mostly aggregated and isn't used to identify you personally. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; some parts of the site may work differently if you do.

Third-party tools & services

We rely on a small set of trusted third-party services to run The Coach's Lab, for example, an email platform to manage subscriptions, an analytics provider, website hosting, and (in the future) a payment processor such as Stripe. These providers only receive the information needed to perform their function and are expected to protect it under their own privacy policies.

Future payment processing

We don't currently sell products on this site. If we add paid products later, payments will be processed by a secure third-party provider (such as Stripe). Your payment details are handled directly by that provider under its own terms and privacy policy; we receive confirmation of your purchase and the information needed to deliver it and provide support.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers described above so they can operate the site on our behalf, or when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer. In all cases we share the minimum necessary.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide what you've asked for and for legitimate business or legal purposes. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we'll honor that request except where we're required to keep certain records.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any message.
• Control cookies through your browser settings.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us.

Children's privacy

The Coach's Lab is intended for coaches and other professionals, not for children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services and tools evolve. When we do, we'll revise the effective date above. Significant changes may also be communicated by email or on the site.
